80 patients treated and advised by QRG Specialists during the Free Health Camp

Faculty of Allied and Health Sciences, MRIIRS organized a Free Health Camp by the specialists of QRG HealthCity. The camp was inaugurated in the presence of Dr. NC Wadhwa (DG, MREI), Dr. GL Khanna (PVC, MRIIRS), Dr. Moattar Raza Rizvi (Dean, FAHS), Dr. Nitesh Malhotra (HOD, Physiotherapy), and all the faculty members of Department of Physiotherapy. A total of 80 patients visited the camp.

People with various musculoskeletal ailments including neck pain, back pain, knee pain, paralysis, foot pain, delayed milestones etc. visited the camp. The cardiology ailments were seen in the patients related to the hypertension, ongoing cardiac issues this was sorted by the help of ECG. Dr. Rakesh Sapra, cardiologist, Director Cardiology, QRG Healthcity was the consultant cardiologist. The gastroenterologist Dr. Neeraj Dhar gave advice to the patients based on the general issues like heart burn, food poisoning, stomach issues etc. Dr. (Lt. Col.) Pankaj Singh Poswal was the expert orthopedic surgeon from QRG healthcity who gave advice on the musculoskeletal ailments. Urology expert Dr. Neerak Dhar apprised today’s ongoing issues like kidney stones.

Regular exercise, ergonomic advice and lifestyle modification were emphasized upon to halt and alter the deterioration level of the patient. The prescriptions of exercise were done after considering the Biomechanical assessment, level of pain and convenience of the patient. The physiotherapy assessment and diagnosis were given by the expert team of physiotherapists.

A team of physiotherapists comprising Dr. Pooja Sharma, Dr. Preeti Saini and MPT students examined and treated the patients with various conditions like ankle pain, knee pain, wrist pain, low back ache and generalized body weakness.

Proper counseling regarding diet; exercises increasing strength and flexibility were emphasized upon.

All the patients were advised to come to FAHS OPD and QRG HealthCity as and when required.

The camp was a huge success.
