80 participants from four countries are participating in ‘YASH 2020’

The Foundation for Glocal Science Initiatives (FGSI) and Manav Rachna University (MRU) are jointly organizing a global science fair – ‘YASH 2020’ for researchers, innovators, entrepreneurs and students from January 16-18, 2020.

More than 80 participants from four countries (Indonesia, Russia, Nepal & India) are participating in the series of technical presentations, poster preparations and project pitching sessions being held at the MRU campus. YASH 2020 was inaugurated by Dr. S K Varshney, Advisor, Department of Science & Technology, GoI in the presence of Mr. Anuj Sinha, Chairman-FGSI; Dr. Sanjay Srivastava, MD, MREI; Dr. I K Bhat, VC, MRU; Mr. Piyush Madhav and Dr. Pradeep Varshney, Convenor.

While sharing a brief about YASH 2020, Mr. Anuj Sinha said: “A good innovator is the one who has an idea and never gives up on that idea until he/she reaches the Eureka moment”. He encouraged all the participants to develop scientific solutions that address the Millennium Development Goals.

The event comprises science competitions, tech walks, film making, artwork, technical paper writing, and social science competitions for participants between the ages of 14-30 years. Winners across various categories will be awarded Gold, Silver and Bronze Awards, along with cash prizes at the culmination ceremony being organized at KidZania, Noida.

Thanking FGSI for choosing Manav Rachna to host this august event, Dr. I K Bhat said: “In this era of Industry 4.0, events like YASH 2020 are a testimony to global concreted efforts towards equipping youth with the relevant skills.
