To spread awareness among the students about various facts of entrepreneurship and the journey, an Entrepreneurship Awareness Camp was inaugurated at Manav Rachna International Institute of Research and Studies today. The camp is being supported by Department of Science and Technology, GOI under the DST-NIMAT Scheme. Participants include Manav Rachna students, faculties and students from other institutions.
With a motivational beginning of the camp, the students were persuaded to work towards ‘making themselves a brand’. Dr. Pradeep K. Varshney, Professor & Director- MRIIC informed the participants about the start-ups incubated at Manav Rachna campus and the support provided in this regard. He also reiterated the funding of Rs 2.67 crore to New Gen IEDC to accelerate its activities for encouraging research, innovation and entrepreneurship among students.
Dr. N.C. Wadhwa highlighted the importance of upskilling and vocational education.
Mr. Gaurav Kachru, Founder & MD, Deals and You apprised the students of various concepts of entrepreneurship. He introduced the concept of innovative and replicative entrepreneurs. Through ‘The Startup Curve’, he explained various elements that trigger failure and success of an entrepreneurial venture. “Entrepreneurship is a life decision”, he said.
Dr. Amit Seth guided the students through Historical background-Indian values vis-a-vis Entrepreneurship and the present scenario. Next session was conducted by ever enthusiastic and highly anticipated Dr. Anil Sarin who with his energetic presentation skills and wise words helped students identify opportunities for entrepreneurs.
Followed by this, was Dr. Pradeep Varshney’s informative and highly detailed session on Mechanism of product selection and technology- assistance from R&D labs and others on choice of technology etc, also he guided students through the history of MRIIRS and how it would benefit students for their own good.
Various rejuvenating activities were also conducted which included prizes for the participants, knowledge and entertainment as well.
The three-day affair will be packed with engaging, interesting and astounding activities and sessions.
