Q. Brief me about Manav Rachna International Institute of Research and Studies (formerly MRIU)?
Manav Rachna International Institute of Research and Studies (formerly MRIU) is a continuum of excellence from the Career Institute of Technology and Management (CITM), and was granted ‘Deemed-to-be-University’ Status under section 3 of the UGC Act 1956, as Manav Rachna International Institute of Research and Studies (formerly MRIU), a visible symbol of knowledge& experience providing high quality education in the fields of Engineering, Health & Applied Sciences, Management, Computer Education, Hotel Management International Programmes, Commerce & Humanities, Media, Design & many more. Q. Where is MRIIRS campus located? & How to reach Manav Rachna International Institute of Research and Studies (formerly MRIU)?
MRIIRS is located on Delhi –Suraj-Kund road, Sector- 43, Faridabad. It is easily accessible through either Badkal Chowk or NHPC Chowk on Mathura Road (NH-2), or via Charmwood Village near Badarpur Border. MRIIRS Campus can be reached by availing Metro facilities up to Manav Rachna Badkhal Mor Station and from there taking a bus or an auto to Badkal Chowk and then auto to University Campus located on Surajkund Delhi Road.

Q. How can I obtain an Admission Brochure?
Admission Brochure contains a Scratch Card consisting of a covered number, which will facilitate submission of application form online. Admission Brochure without Scratch Card may be downloaded from MRIIRS website free of cost. However, application for admission shall be submitted online only at the University website for which application fee of Rs. 1200/- is payable. Payment can be made through Credit/ Debit card at the time of submission of application. Candidate may purchase admission brochure from MRIIRS Campus, Administrative Headquarters or City Centers in cash, details of which is available on Contact us page.

Q. Do we need to submit the original certificates on the day of admission?
No, there is no need to submit original certificates but candidate must produce original certificates/documents on the day of admission for their verifications, failing which candidate shall not be considered for admission. Two sets of self-attested copies of the certificates/documents are required to be submitted at the time of physical counseling as detailed in the admission brochure. The same should be collected back by the student soon after physical counseling.

Q. What are the documents to be produced at the time of admission?
Candidate must bring the following documents in original along with two sets of self-attested photocopies:

  • Secondary School Examination Certificate (10th)- as proof of Date of Birth
  • Senior Secondary School Examination Certificate (10+2)
  • Detailed Mark sheets/Provisional Certificate/Degree/ Diploma Certificate of the qualifying examination.
  • Character Certificate from the Institution last attended.
  • Result card of the relevant entrance examination.
  • Four passport size colored photographs in formal dress.
  • Certificate of proof as candidate of Foreign Nationals seeking relaxation in the minimum eligibility criteria.
  • Copy of Aadhar Card

In addition to the documents mentioned above, all students will be required to submit following documents either during the orientation program after start of classes or within 3 days from the date of admission whichever is later:

  • Certificate of Medical Fitness
  • Migration Certificate
  • Proof of Residence (Ration Card/ Electricity Bill/ Telephone Bill/ Driving License etc.)
  • Undertaking by candidate and by parents for “Anti Ragging”, the format for which shall be available of MRIIRS website
  • Undertaking by parents for total family income from all sources along with proof of income in the form of current Income Tax Return/ Certificate of Income from employers of parent(s)/ proof of survey conducted by DRDA of the district concerned of the applicant or any other authorized Government agency/ any other valid proof (Original /Attested Photocopy).
  • Any other document required / notified later.

Q. What is the process for Physical Counseling?

  • On the day of physical counseling, candidates shall report on the Registration Desk, arrange documents in the specified sequence in the file cover given on the spot, appear before the Document Verification Committee for verification of documents and move to the Admission Committee, if found eligible.
  • Admission committee shall allot the seats to the Candidates in order of merit subject to its availability and the candidates shall be required to deposit fee on the spot either through Demand Draft, Credit / Debit Card. Cheques shall not be accepted. Additional convenience charges are payable as per rules in case of payment is made through Credit / Debit Card.
  • The seat shall be deemed to be allotted only on deposition of fee. If a candidate fails to deposit the fee on the spot, the right to admission shall be forfeited and the seat shall be offered to the candidate next in the merit list.
  • If a candidate reports late for admission on the designated day and time, he / she will be offered the seat available at the time of his appearance before the Admission Committee.
  • All Candidates are advised to report on the day of physical counseling in a formal and presentable dress as a fresh photograph may be required to be clicked on the spot.
  • All Students admitted in various programs shall collect their original testimonials / certificates at the time of allotment of seat against acknowledgement. All such students are also advised to keep a watch on MRIIRS Website for further instructions if any.

Q. Will I be interviewed before the admission?
Every student has to be physically present during physical counseling before admission. Although, except for MBA, there are no marks awarded for interview for preparing the merit list for admission, but for all the programs at UG (except B.Arch), Group Discussion (GD) / Personal Interview (PI) is the part of selection process for final admission and is an independent screening test. Although admission in all UG programs shall be based on the merit of respective MRNAT as first preference and percentage of marks scored in qualifying examination as a second preference, seats remaining vacant, those who fail to make a mark in GD/PI may be denied admission.

Q. What is MRNAT? Which agency is holding this Examination?
MRNAT (Manav Rachna National Admission Test) is conducted by the University across various disciplines,  You can check the Syllabus for online Exam. University has deployed technology developed by India’s leading assessment agency to ensure fair and transparent conduct of online test. The candidates shall be allotted a designated computer system in the examination centre and shall be required to login using Application Sequence Number and Password as conveyed to the applicant through email. It is therefore advised not to share Email IDs and Password with others to avoid complications. The questions shall appear on the monitor and the candidates shall submit answers by using mouse only. The computer system is connected to a Central Server which delivers the test in real time without web connectivity. All other `functions are disabled in the machine and there is no Human involvement in the test. No formal computer knowledge is required to appear for the test. Other details and sample questions are also available on the University website. The dates of conduct of MRNAT across various disciplines are given in the Admission Brochure. The candidate will be intimated about the place, date and time of the Test, through email and SMS well in time. For UG Courses, besides other locations, the Test would be conducted at Faridabad, Patna, Guwahati, Bhatinda and Hyderabad. For PG Courses, the Test would be conducted at Faridabad only.

Q.Should the parents come along with the candidate for admission?
It is mandatory for the parents to attend counseling. However, in case of an emergency, guardian may attend the counseling.

Q.What is the mode of payment of fees?
The Payment of fees is through Demand draft in favor of Manav Rachna International Institute of Research and Studies (formerly MRIU) or in Demand Draft, Credit / Debit Card at the time of physical counseling/admission.

Q. Does Manav Rachna collect Annual or Program Fees in advance?
No, Manav Rachna collects fees as per norms presented by the Regulatory Bodies.

Q. How the merit list is prepared for admission to various streams of B.Tech Programs?
The Merit Lists for each program shall be prepared as per the criteria given in the Admission Brochure.

For B.Tech Program the merit list shall be prepared (i) Merit in MRNAT and (ii) Score in UniGauge as a 2nd preference (iii) JEE Mains Score and (iv) Marks in the qualifying examination. Candidates are advised to provide the respective score in the application form as soon as the results are declared by the respective examination bodies. Those students who fail to provide any of these results shall go down in the merit list in the absence of respective weightage.

The vacant seats thereafter, if any, are filled on merit drawn on the basis of the relevant marks of the candidates in the qualifying Examination.

Q. How will come to know my Rank in the Merit List for admission to any Program being offered by your University?
The ranks in the respective Merit List shall be available on MRIIRS Website as per schedule given in the admission brochure against Application Sequence Number generated by the system at the time of submission of online application.

Q. Do you allow the students to take admission who have got supplementary in the qualifying examination?
For all UG Programs, admission shall be made only if the Candidate has been declared pass in the qualifying examination clearly and meets the minimum eligibility criteria as laid down in the admission brochure. Candidates having compartment shall not be admitted in any of the UG Program till their result for the supplementary examination has been declared within the final cut off date of admission.

For PG Programs, candidates may be admitted provisionally subject to fulfillment of minimum eligibility criteria on or before the last date. For the purpose of preparation of Merit List, the marks scored upto pre final year of the qualifying examination shall be considered for those whose result has not been declared for the final year/semester. Student having compartments in any of the previous years shall not get credit for the subjects which they have not passed at the time of admission.

Admission Committee shall exercise fair discretion to see that based upon the academic performance in exam result which is available at the time of admission, whether the candidate is likely to meet the eligibility criteria. However it will be sole responsibility of the candidate to meet the minimum eligibility criteria for admission by the cutoff date mentioned above and no relaxation in minimum eligibility criteria shall be granted

Q.What is your Policy for Withdrawal and refund of fees?

Q.Does the University offer any scholarships to meritorious MRIIRS candidates?
Yes, Scholarships & Freeships are available as under: The university offers Schoarships to all students on the basis of marks/CGPA in the qualifying examination. Check MRIIRS scholarship policy.

Q.What is the minimum attendance required to appear in the exams?
As per the Ordinance of the University, a student shall be required to have a minimum attendance of 75% in the aggregate of all the courses taken together in a semester for all the Programs.

Q.What kind of grooming programs are offered to the students?
The Career Development Centre (CDC) at MRIIRS provides training on personality and soft skills to enrich the students with employability traits.

Q.Are there any management quota seats in any programme?
No, there is no management quota in any of the programmes. All the admissions are purely on the merit basis as per the criteria mentioned in the admission brochure of the University.

Q.What measures are taken to help the students in finding employment?
We conduct special coaching for improving the employability skills of the students. For this purpose, Manav Rachna has a Corporate Relations and Career Development Centre, which grooms the students prior to their appearing for on-campus/off-campus placements. Also, we have a well-organized placement cell which is doing commendable job year after year. We have good rapport with a number of companies. Q.What is the procedure for admission or how do I join the University?
Candidates have to submit the online admission form on the university website. On the basis of the scores in the entrance exam and/or qualifying examination, a merit list is drawn as per the criteria mentioned in the admission brochure of the University for selection of students and admission is made through physical counseling. Q.English is not my first language. Will I get support?
English is an internationally accepted language and to support students we have in course Professional Communication, Soft Skills and other foreign languages classes. Pass in English at 10th and 12th is mandatory in almost all programs as detailed in the eligibility criteria of each program in the admission brochure.

Q.I need to speak to an adviser as I am not sure as to which program to choose. Will I get any support?

Q.What if I miss the MRNAT exam?
In case, any vacancies left after exhausting the merit drawn up on the basis of the MRNAT, then the balance seats, if any, are filled on merit basis of merit in the qualifying exam.

Q.How are the students assessed?
During the course of each Program, students will be assessed through their class tests, practicals, reports, essays, problem-based learning, projects, presentation, thesis and end semester examination etc.

Q.From which University, the degree will be awarded?
On successful completion of the Program as per its minimum requirements, the degree shall be awarded by Manav Rachna International Institute of Research and Studies (formerly MRIU).

Q.How many days does the University work in a week?
The University works for Five days (Monday to Friday) in a week for normal teaching, however, the students do come on Saturdays as well for their research work, projects, co-curricular and extra-curricular activities.

Q.What are the facilities provided in the campus?

Q.What sort of medical facilities are available on campus? Where is the nearest hospital?
We have a well-qualified doctor, two dispensaries and two well-equipped Ambulances. A full range of Dental treatment facilities are available in our Dental College. The nearest Hospital (Asian Institute of Medical Science) is located just 4 Km. away.

Q.Is the Campus Wi-Fi enabled?
Yes, It is Wi-Fi-enabled campus including hostels.

Q.Is there any facility for us to stay in the campus when we come for counseling?
No, we don’t provide any such facility. But many hotels and guest houses are available close to our campus.
