About: A keen researcher with profound expertise in food technology/ processing, functional foods and dairy technology, Dr. Upasana is a dedicated academician and a proud recipient of Gold Medal in M.Sc. – Food Technology from Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar, Punjab, India, as well as an INSPIRE Fellowship awardee from Department of Science and Technology, Government of India, for pursuing her doctoral research. She has her share of contribution as a Scientist, Food Technology with Agriculture Research Services, GoI. Being associated to Delhi University for four years, she has been an educator for B. Sc. Food Technology and M. Sc. Food & Nutrition. She has also worked as Counsellor for the Masters’ Programme in Dietetics & Food Service Management of Indira Gandhi National Open University. She draws her industrial confluence from her early years’ association with Nestle where she had been contributing in the laboratory analytics and interpretations for commercial food products with the company. A recognized peer reviewer with several scientific journals from International publishing houses, she is also a Life Member of reputed dairy and food associations, namely, Indian Dairy Association, Dairy Technology Society of India and Association of Food Scientists and Technologists (India).
Experience: She has 6 years’ experience in food industry, teaching and research.
Research: She has contributed towards 14 original research articles in peer reviewed journals of international and national repute along with contributions in 6 magazine and popular articles. She has an active participation in several National and International Conferences/ Seminars/ Workshops.
