About : Dr. Roopa Rani has earned her Ph.D degree from Department of Chemistry, Dayalbagh Educational Institute, Dayalbagh, Agra under the supervision of Prof. Man Mohan Srivastava on “Development and Standardization of HPTLC method for undesirable chemicals in food stuff: Technique Oriented Perspectives”. She taught UG and PG classes in Dayalbagh University during her research tenure.
Dr. Roopa has an overall teaching and research experience of more than 5 years in the field of analytical chemistry dealing with the monitoring of adulteration in food stuff and their quality control. She has worked as Assistant Professor in Department of Chemistry, PDM University, Bahadurgarh, Haryana and also has one year experience at Navodaya Vidhyalaya, Budaun for teaching chemistry to class XII students. She has published twelve research papers in national and international journals of repute with four book chapters. She also presented her work in several national and international conferences. She is an enthusiastic researcher and actively participates in national and international conferences. She is also the member of various scientific societies like Association of Separation Science and Technology, BARC, Mumbai, Green Chemistry Network, New Delhi, Indian society of analytical scientist, New Delhi. She has several awards to her credit like Director’s medal for securing highest mark in M.Sc Chemistry in 2009 from DEI, Agra, Best paper award in National Conference on Advances in Material Sciences held at Amritsar College of Engineering and Technology, Amritsar, Punjab and also Best M.Phil Thesis award at All India Level in the field of Separation Science sponsored by Association of Separation Science and Technology, BARC, Mumbai in 2014.
She has joined Manav Rachna University, Faridabad since 2017 and currently working in the field of adulteration monitoring in food stuffs using HPTLC and also water detoxification from heavy metals.
