Research Area: Ring Theory
Dr. Deepa Arora did her M.Sc. degree (M.Sc. Mathematics with Computer Science) in the year 2005 from the Department of Mathematics, Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi. In the year 2012, she completed her Ph.D. degree from the Department of Mathematics, Jamia Millia Islamia under the supervision of (Late) Mohd. Rais Khan on ‘Derivations and Generalized Derivations of Sigma Prime Rings’.
She started her teaching profession in the year 2005 from Manav Rachna College of Engineering, Faridabad now Manav Rachna University. She is an experienced faculty with a total teaching and research experience of 13 years.
Dr. Arora worked on Sigma Prime Rings, which are extension of Prime Rings. The prime investigation was based on the additive maps called Derivations and Generalized Derivations defined on Sigma Prime Rings. Through her results she validated and extended important results which hold true for Prime Rings to Sigma Prime Rings. She has done research taking the Lie – Ideals defined on Rings.
Her current research includes the study of Sigma Prime Rings taking Jordan ideals into consideration. She has published 4 research papers in National & International Journals. She has presented 3 papers in National & International conferences. She is also a life member of ISTE.
Besides being a researcher she had been holding various important administrative posts in the university. Currently, she is the co-coordinator of Accreditation team of MRU.
