Brief Profile
Dr. Dax Abraham holds a Master’s Degree in the field of Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics from Rajiv Gandhi University Bangalore. He joined Manav Rachna Dental College in 2013 as a Reader in the Department of Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics. He was promoted to the post of Professor and Head in 2017, and since then, he has been actively involved in various research activities of the department. With over 17 years of teaching experience, he has established himself as a respected educator in the field.
Currently, Dr. Abraham is pursuing his Ph.D. degree in the same field under the aegis of MRIIRS. Throughout his career, he has provided guidance for more than 40 main dissertations and library dissertations. Additionally, he has authored over 35 publications in peer-reviewed journals and conferences, which have garnered more than 375 citations. His research efforts have been recognized by the Indian Endodontic Society, as he recently received the IES research grant for his research proposal.
Dr. Abraham’s area of expertise lies in clinical work, particularly in magnification and retreatment endodontics. As part of his ongoing research, he has chosen to study the role of biomarkers in pulpal and periapical diseases. Currently, he is guiding two postgraduate students who are working on research projects related to this area. One of the studies focuses on gene polymorphism, further expanding his contribution to the field.
