Dr. Arpit Sand is currently Associate Professor in Department of Chemistry, Manav Rachna University Faridabad India since March 2014. He received his B.Sc. in Science and M.Sc. in Chemistry from the University of Allahabad, Allahabad, India, in 2004 and 2006, respectively. He received his Ph.D. degree in Chemistry from the University of Allahabad, Allahabad, India, in 2010.
Dr. Sand is editorial board member Polymer Synthesis Cambridge Scholars Publishing UK, Sm. Journal of Polymer Science USA and Academic Editor in Intech Open Limited UK In addition, he is a reviewer for international journals including Carbohydrate Polymers, International Journal of Biological Macromolecules, Fibers and Polymers etc.
He was Assistant Professor (Guest Faculty) in Department of Chemistry, University of Allahabad during July 2010-Jan, 2011, Research Associate in National Physical Laboratory (NPL) New Delhi during Jan 2011- June 2011, Post-Doctoral Fellow in Gwangju Institute of Science & Technology (GIST) Gwangju Korea during July 2011-June 2012, Postdoctoral Fellow in Karolinska Institutet Stockholm, Sweden during August 2012-August 2013, Junior Researcher Brno University of Technology Brno, Czech Republic during September 2013-November 2013, Research Associate in National Physical Laboratory (NPL) New Delhi during December 2013- March 2014. From July 2016, He worked as Researcher in Soongsil University, Seoul South Korea on study leave from Manav Rachna University for two years (June 2016-June 2018).
He has more than 10 years of teaching and research experience. He is also a life member of the Indian Science Congress and Green Chemistry Network centre. He has significant contribution in modification and characterization of graft copolymers and films decorated with chalcogenide quantum dots to tune the energy band gap for solar energy harvesting applications. His research interests include polymer synthesis using different polymerization techniques. He has authored more than 20 international research articles and review articles in reputed SCI journals
