The Faculty of Applied Sciences is committed to generate scientifically skilled human resources for higher education and research. The programmes provide students with flexible and multi-disciplinary course options which aim at imparting in depth knowledge of the domain and a skill set required for addressing the global challenges. The programme design has a blend of classroom teaching with the emphasis on practical exposure and provides opportunities for the holistic development of the students. All programmes offered are in conformation with UGC guidelines and follow Choice based credit system.
Well qualified faculty members, coming from premier institutions, ensure good pedagogy. They conduct international stanard research in the emerging areas of sciences and interdisciplinary fields. The teaching learning process of the faculty imbibes in the students self learning, analytical skills and capacity to adapt to emerging fields. To provide more practical learning every theory course has lab component at UG level. The labs are well equipped with modern and sophisticated equipments.
ABOUT THE FACULTY OF APPLIED SCIENCES
The Faculty of Applied Sciences at present comprises of Department of Physics, Department of Chemistry and Department of Mathematics. The highly qualified and experienced faculty imparts adequate fundamental knowledge of the associated subjects to the engineering and science graduate and post-graduates. The students at all levels are encouraged and supported for carrying out projects and conduct research in selected fields/areas.
