Q.What is the duration of B. Arch. degree course?
Ans.The duration of B. Arch. Degree course is 5 years.

Ans. BArch. degree course is recognized by Council of Architecture.
Q.What is Architecture?
Ans. Architecture is both the process and product of planning, designing and constructing form, space and ambience that reflect functional, technical, social, and aesthetic considerations. It requires the creative manipulation and coordination of material, technology, light and shadow.
Q.What do Architects do?
Ans. Architects systematically combine scientific knowledge with creative ability to design objects, things or processes that support all human activities In the civilized world as Architects, you will touch every human being’s life every moment. Architects make our life comfortable.
Q.What are the features of B.Arch course at MRIU?
Ans. Manav Rachna International University offers 5-year degree programme in B.Arch (Bachelor of Architecture) which is duly recognized by the Council of Architecture and the degree shall be awarded by MRIU. Faculty of Architecture and Design conducting the B Arch course is housed in a state-of-the-art building equipped with well setup laboratories and studios, lecture theaters, library facilities, computer labs along with contemporary softwares to provide the most stimulating academic environment for its students.
Q.What is the procedure for applying for NATA?
Ans. NATA Registration form can be filled and submitted ONLINE on the website www.nata.in by payment of NATA fees of Rs. 1000.00 (+ Processing Charges) using Net banking/ Credit Card/ ICICI Isure Bank Challan. The candidate can download the Prefilled Registration form and procure the necessary registration documents. A Test Center will be allotted within NCR to the candidate. Test center should be approached for appointment for NATA Exam.

Ans. Faculty of Architecture and Design is one of the faculties of Manav Rachna International University (MRIU) located in “E” Block, Sector 43, Aravalli Hills, Delhi- Surajkund Road, Faridabad.

Q.What is the status of NATA viz-a-viz AIEEE?
Ans. The latter is an exam for admission to some specific colleges, while NATA is a test being conducted by Council of Architecture and is the basic criteria for admission to all colleges of Architecture throughout the country.
Q.When is the NATA Exam Scheduled?
Ans. 16 April 2017 is the date of NATA Exam
Q. What are the Eligibility criteria for B.Arch Programme?
Ans. The eligibility criteria is as follow:
- Student must have at least 50% marks in aggregate in Best 5 subjects in 10+2 including Mathematics as a compulsory subject.
- NATA 2016 is valid for 2 years. Hence, we will take admissions in 2017 based on last year’s score.
- NATA 2017 shall be conducted by Council of Architecture on single day i.e. 16.04.2017 all over India.
B.Sc Interior Design:
Q. What is Interior design?
Ans. Interior Design is the profession that focuses on the layout, design and beautification of interior spaces, buildings and other structures. Interior designers work in a wide range of settings, including residential, commercial, hospitality and institutional environments.
Q. Are drawing skills mandatory to join B.Sc.-ID course?
Ans. No, our course curriculum is designed in a manner where we start teaching from the basic dot line drawing and in the last semester, expose the students to specialized fields also.
Q. Are drawing skills required for an Interior Designer? Why?
Ans. As the interior designer’s work is based on conceptual design, drawing is one of the tools to depict the ideas developed for the client’s needs.
Q. What are the profiles aimed at after completing this course? Ans. There is a misconception that Interior designers have very limited areas to work in. They can work as: Space Planner, Freelance Interior Designer, Office Space Designer, Set Designer, Corporate Showroom Designer, Art Director, Furniture Designer, FengShui Consultant, Wall Covering Designer, Window Treatment Specialist, Interior Design Educator, Kitchen & Bath Designer, Design Journalist, Colour Consultant etc.

Ans. The creative skills and the design capabilities are the prime investments for any Interior Designer. Depending on the nature of project and innovative skills of students, business could be started.
Q. How does Interior Designing differ from Architecture?
Ans. Architects and Interior Designers work very differently. Most Architects work with structure and building design and prefer not to work with details of interiors, such as Kitchen and Bath design, Custom Cabinetry, Built-ins, Color schemes, Wall and Window treatments. Designers can create a master plan for the interiors of your entire home or office, which can be implemented in stages, as & when your budget allows.
Q. Can a fresher start his/her own business or one should have some experience?
Ans. Yes, a fresher can start his/her own business as we give exposure to the students in the area of entrepreneurship also.
Q. Is there an interaction with the renowned personalities from the industry?
Ans. Yes, lectures are scheduled by experts of various fields like Architects, Vaastu Experts, Estate Manager, Professional Model makers etc.
