International Conference on “Sustainable Initiatives in Water Management”
Department of Chemistry, Manav Rachna University (MRU) is organizing an International Conference on “Sustainable Initiatives in Water Management” on March 6, 2018 at the MRU Campus. The workshop has been jointly organized by Green Chemistry Network Centre (GCNC), Delhi University and Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC), North India Section and is sponsored by IOCL R&D Centre Faridabad and ISST, Ghaziabad.
Plenary Lecture will be delivered by Dr. Satinder Ahuja, President Ahuja Consulting, NC, USA. Dr. Ahuja has extensively worked with ACS, IUPAC and UNESCO to address water quality issues. He has also established Ahuja Academy of Water Quality that supports various research projects at the University of North Carolina and the University of Science in Philadelphia.
Broad Sub Themes of the Conference include River Basin Management, Conservation of Wetlands and Local Water Bodies, Groundwater Management, Industrial and Municipal Wastewater Management, Integrated Wastewater Treatment Technologies, Sustainable Agricultural Practices for Water Conservation, Innovative Solutions for Drinking Water Supply, and Wastewater Quality and Management.
This workshop will comprise of short oral and poster sessions. The best oral/posters will be selected by a panel of judges and the selected presenters will be awarded. Through this workshop, participants will have an opportunity to work with RSC and GCNC. It will also promote and develop experimental approaches used for water management in rural and urban areas.
