Corporate Resource Centre (CRC) is one of the facilitating units of Manav Rachna Educational Institutions (MREI), which engages with the industry and constantly strives for expanding the industry-academia interface. In the institutions providing professional courses, it is the dream of every student to get a job offer through campus placement while still being in the Institution and join it immediately after passing out. The placement-profile of a campus is a paramount indicator of an institution’s prestige in the contemporary society. It instills enthusiasm among the campus students, confidence among the parents of aspiring students and registers recognition by the industry.
Fulfilling these dreams of the students has been a constant endeavor of Corporate Resource Centre (CRC) at Manav Rachna. The CRC also gathers information, through close and regular interactions with the leading recruiters, regarding the knowledge and skills requirements of the industry and advises the institutions / faculties under MREI to incorporate them to make our students even more industry ready and job ready.
MREI was able to break the barrier of declining placements due to global and national economic melt-down and recession in the last few years and attracted reputed multinational & Indian companies for campus placements. For 2015 Batch, a total of 182 companies organized the placement drives, of which 72 were new companies. A total of 926 students were placed through the campus placement.
Some of the eminent recruiters conducting placement in 2015 include TCS, Accenture, IBM, Cognizant, HCL Technologies, FineEdge, JBM, L&T Infotech, Naukri.com, Nestle, NIIT Technologies, Safenet, Sony India, Yamaha Motor Solutions, IFB, IREO, Raheja Builders, Radisson Blu Plaza, Sadbhav Engineering Ltd, The Grand Hotel, Times Business Solutions Ltd., Xerox and the likes.
Securing significant placement figures, despite shrinkage in the job market due to economic slowdown, bears testimony to the fact that in MREI, the teaching-learning pedagogy is in sync with the industry.
During the recessionary phase, most of the companies tend to become cautious and resort to selective / limited hiring. They scout for multi-skilled and IT savvy talent equipped with sound domain knowledge, immaculate soft skills and positive attitude. It is, therefore, imperative for the students, who desire to pick up a lucrative job in the final year, to work hard from the first semester onwards for making themselves job ready. Towards this end, in MREI, there is a dedicated Career Development Cell (CDC) to assist, guide and mentor students in honing industry relevant skill sets. It is important for students to understand that the Institution can only afford job opportunities and help students enhance their employment quotient. Competing in the selection process and getting selected is totally dependent on their performance and competency.
In an effort to streamline the placement process the CRC makes use of an ‘Online Registration Portal’ for campus placement. All students in their final years are eligible to log-in through the CRC website. The primary data is filled-up and authenticated by the students which enable them to be considered for placement drives. The academic data is uploaded directly from the authenticated data made available from the examination department & verified by the faculty TPOs. It helps CRC in identifying the eligible students for a particular campus drive based on the criteria provided by recruiting company. It also provides the required information for the management of CRC processes & systems.
The Corporate Resource Centre strives to get more and more recruiting companies on-board the placement calendar of MRIU and it is heartening to note that each year we have been doing better than the previous one. In addition, as the CRC keeps abreast with the needs of the job market during its interaction with the industries, it provides valuable input to the teaching faculty regarding the marketrelevant skills so to prepare our students to become more employable, equipped with market ready skills.
This year many new companies are also expected to visit the Campus for “On Campus” recruitments.

This is where the Corporate Resource Center the Corporate Resource Center (CRC) plays an important role in shaping the careers of students from their induction and orientation, summer internships, mid-term projects, right to their final placements and even beyond. CRC brings the Industry and academia close to each other and provides need based education and organisation support. It is entrusted to organize in-campus interviews for student placement and training. CRC organizes corporate guest lectures and industry interaction.
The center also undertakes various academic and non-academic initiatives so that students are well equipped to meet varied industry requirements and provides support functions, to bring about continuous improvement in student activities.
